Semana 29- You all are doing John Smith's Dirty Work

This week has been exciting with a lot of ups and downs. There were tons of small miracles and we we able to do a lot of good work. We had interviews with President Larreal and that was super good! It's always really uplifting and it's kinda exciting to get earlier spoilers on what is going to happen on the mission. We talked to a bunch of our recent converts like gloria and Sammy who are both super cute girls who are going with us to the ward temple baptism visit on Friday. We also talked about being Finishers those who take it to the end. There is a great talk by Thomas S Monson about it if anybody wants some reading material.

Sis Wagner also had really bad stomach pain. Like, the worst ever. So on Friday we went to the ER super quick during lunch time to see if we could get it figured out and it turns out she has Colitis (Inflammation in the colon). It ended up taking 5 hours and lots of different tests but we have it all figured out now. So, now she is super drugged up on antibiotics and can finally eat food without being in a ton of pain!! We talked to this guy when trying to find an old contact dot and this guy started yelling at us. He asked if we could spell Yhwh or Ago-anai or Adonai (which excuse us for not being fluent in Hebrew) and then starts yelling at us. We kinda just kindly excused ourselves and then he went and yelled at his son. We knocked the apartment and they answer the door and this guy yells from behind us and screams that "yall are doing John Smith's dirty work." It was really awkward and we just invited people to church wished them a great day and left the area. But bruh, people don't need to be mean.

Also our friend who was going to be baptized texted us at 3 am on Sunday mornin, the day of, that she wasn't ready. So we went by at 8 am to try to resolve some doubts and before her to come to church. And she didn't end up making it but said with more time she might be ready. Saran really does work hard on people especially in those moments that are the pivot point when people are getting closer to God. So please keep on praying for the people here on Mercedes. We know there are miracles and more on the way! 😁 it was just a really sad Sunday pulling in at 8:50 to church knowing that she wasn't there and wasn't going to be baptized. We had dinner with the Blaisdell family on Sunday and that was tons of fun. They are from Caldwell Idaho which was super cool and they have a super fun young family and fed 6 of us missionaries and then we played football with them! (Basically next door to those non Idahoans).

Pemsamiento espiritual: Jack H Goaslind:
"We must realize that we have received a divine commission from God and we neglect it at the peril of our salvation. President Spencer W. Kimball said, “If we do not do our duty in regard to missionary service, then I am convinced that God will hold us responsible for the people we might have saved had we done our duty."'
