Semana 35- "You Are Not Welcome in Meh Kingdom" So sorry that I missed last week. That's the first one ever, and hopefully the last but it seems that time is just always slipping past.  Lots of fun things these past two weeks!! We went on exchanges and I got to go help this super cute couple get things ready so they can get married!! While I was on exchanges though, sister church was in Mercedes with Sister Wagner and as they were driving along the freeway. Suddenly, there was a loud honk and some lady yelled at them that their tire was gone!! They frantically pulled over and checked things out to discover that my bike wheel disappeared. We have been biking because we were super low on miles. Cue lots of sweat, water, and exhaustion. Now, we don't have to worry about biking up and over the hill and across the freeway. To top it all off, Sister Wagners bike got hit by a driver and bet her back wheel out of shape two days later. Clearly God does not want us biking. We ...

Semana 33- Que Te Gusta? There has been a lot of work put into this week but it's been really cool!! Our friend Juan got baptized on Saturday. He was going to be baptized about a month ago and came to church a couple of times but disappeared. This past Sunday he showed up again and we got in contact with him and he got baptized after we asked him if he wanted to on Saturday!! The coolest part is that we didn't even find him the first time. He said church always just keeps coming to him. The first time we found him we were walking away after talking with our friends and he just pulled over in his car and jokingly asked if we were selling anything. God keeps on putting people in the right place at the right time. We had some really sad news with a couple of people who were 100% locked into baptism and church. The mom read in the book of mormon and listened to general conference talks and bore her testimony at church a while back. The members kept on telling us they had never see...

Semana 32- Baptismo Para Dos We had two people get baptized this week!! It was super exciting! Both Oralia a super cute 17 year old and a Grandma names Dionicia!! It was amazing and the spirit was there so strongly. When the ward was singing "Nearer my God to Thee" there were so many people crying and the feeling of joy and truth filled up the whole room. It just made me so grateful for the blessinfs of the gospel and how this will impact the Saldaña family and Dionicia for forever!! While there, the mom Yvonne cried the whole time and next week her two younger sons should be getting baptized!!  Can you image how cool it would be, if you has for example been taught by a doctor and became a pro doctor. Something super cool like neurosurgeon or a cardiologist and then had the opportunity to go back and teach somebody else who became another said doctor? That us kinda exactly what happened with Gloria who is hitting her year mark for her baptism in 2 days and came out with us t...

Semana 31- Have Fun Storming the Castle It's been super busy this week with basically no time to breath!! It's been super exciting though!! We had last monday the surprise whole mission p-day and then as we were wating and waiting monday night the news came at like 11pm all about transfers.  And It Turns Out That.... Sister Wagner and I are staying another in Mercedes. WHOOO! And my two past companions Sister Church and sister Martinez became STLs. Also Church is now in my zone!! Which means that our zone just became 10x cooler and I get to see her again!! Now imagine how crazy it would be on one day to pack 200 people all together and then have them move all their stuff, stuff in 4 meetings on the same day before 12, traffic backed up all along the freeway, and 2 people running around with cameras trying to be in 5 places at once, and you might begin to understand wednesday. We stacked transfers and the new incoming (greenie) meeting all at the same time. It was super exciti...

Semana 30- El Templo Lots of crazy good things and lots of little milagros. We had a couple friends on date for baptism fall through which was super sad. But, we have the saldaña family who all want to be baptized which is super cool! And when we asked the family what would stop them if they got baptized tomorrow the daughter said that there was literally nothing. We had on optometrist appointment for sister Wagner to check and make sure she doesn't need eye surgery. And everything is good so far. We had the ward temple night and went with two of our cute recent converts in our area Gloria and Sammy. It was also Gloria's first time doing baptism for the dead which was super exciting and she literally loved it so much!! Then we talked with a bunch of people at the temple who only speak Spanish, sam some other missionaries, almost got washed out on the freeway because it was pouring, and it was Sister O'Bryants first time going through the temple and this cute old lady got e...

Semana 29- You all are doing John Smith's Dirty Work This week has been exciting with a lot of ups and downs. There were tons of small miracles and we we able to do a lot of good work. We had interviews with President Larreal and that was super good! It's always really uplifting and it's kinda exciting to get earlier spoilers on what is going to happen on the mission. We talked to a bunch of our recent converts like gloria and Sammy who are both super cute girls who are going with us to the ward temple baptism visit on Friday. We also talked about being Finishers those who take it to the end. There is a great talk by Thomas S Monson about it if anybody wants some reading material.  Sis Wagner also had really bad stomach pain. Like, the worst ever. So on Friday we went to the ER super quick during lunch time to see if we could get it figured out and it turns out she has Colitis (Inflammation in the colon). It ended up taking 5 hours and lots of different tests but we have i...

Semano 28- El Baptismo del Junior All right, spoilers guys. Our friend junior who is a college student did not end up going to Houston yet and he doesn't know exactly when he is going anymore and we had invited him to pray if he should be baptized here in Mercedes or in Houston and he just got baptized on Sunday!! WHOOO!! This week has been busy with zone conference, exchanges, lots of people on baptismal date, and just a busy week. We have been finding some really elect people like a girl who was walking her three Legged dog, was on the phone, and it was dark and we decided to pull over and talk to her. She was really excited and wanted to learn more and even came to church on Sunday! There were a lot of things trying to stop our progress with us and our friends. People were getting sick, some vehicles broke down, lots of people ignored us, and we were only finding Spanish people that we had to pass of to the ZLs. (The whole TMM missionaries are called in spanish but half the tim...
