Semana 14- Los Templos

This week has been fantastic! We have been able to hear from sooo many cool people ans Conferencia General was one of the most spiritual things. Everybody was giving talks about temples and how important it is to go to them and center our lives more on temples. I also loved how Eyring shared his experience of going to the Temple and then when a dam broke in Idaho he didn't have any fear because of whom he puts his trust in. It was so cool to hear all of these powerful messages and to have 15 new temples announced! Including one in Venezuela which is where my Mission President is from so he was super excited! I also loved how much they focused on the covenants and blessings that we get when we take the time to go to the temple.

We also got some delicious different foods this week, including empanada de Calabasas, dove, and the sketchiest gas station pizza where the lady didn't even know how much it cost. We also struggled to find an ice cream place and there wasn't any within a 50 mile radius. We also went to one of the tiny towns and on the way out of Alice we realized our tire pressure was low. So we went to fill it up and the air pressure filler didn't work. It actually lowered our psi so some random guy tried to help and had the same problem. Then we went to another gas station that had an air pressure that actually worked. Morally of the story, you do know how to fill up the air, it just might not work if the pipe doesn't have enough pressure.

I got to see a huge rattlesnake and the member actually purposefully drove it over. We also got to have a ton of our friends watch General Conference and we have already seen a lot of the blessings that come through that. It's been cool to get to meet the people here and really help them change their lives. It's been cool to see these people be truly interested in the Temple and want to receive the blessings by following Christ's teachings and progressing so that they could go there! Also the Elder in our district is allergic to eggs. Like deathly allergic, and I have felt super bad for him to come to member meals and then not be able to eat half of the food. I hope we don't accidentally poison him...
