Semana 32- Baptismo Para Dos

We had two people get baptized this week!! It was super exciting! Both Oralia a super cute 17 year old and a Grandma names Dionicia!! It was amazing and the spirit was there so strongly. When the ward was singing "Nearer my God to Thee" there were so many people crying and the feeling of joy and truth filled up the whole room. It just made me so grateful for the blessinfs of the gospel and how this will impact the Saldaña family and Dionicia for forever!! While there, the mom Yvonne cried the whole time and next week her two younger sons should be getting baptized!!

Can you image how cool it would be, if you has for example been taught by a doctor and became a pro doctor. Something super cool like neurosurgeon or a cardiologist and then had the opportunity to go back and teach somebody else who became another said doctor? That us kinda exactly what happened with Gloria who is hitting her year mark for her baptism in 2 days and came out with us twice this week. She said that she wants to be a missionary and was able to help us teach the Saldaña family and become friends with Oralia before her baptism!!

We had 2 meetings this week, one at MLC and the other with just tech squad and president Larreal all about the Facebook goals for this next transfer. It has been a super long week with hardly any sleep and tons of hard work were it feels like we have been running in circles. But after resolving some mega doubts we have been able to see TONS of milagros. Lots of people came to church, there are quite a few people who should be getting baptized this next week and we felt like our hard work is really succeeding. It was also super cool at MLC to see all of my companions both Sister Church and Martinez. We also stopped by our friend Jo and her two kids who have been 100% prepared by God. She downloaded herself the BoM and loved all about the Restoration. She also watched the baptism we had on Sunday and is super excited to keep on going in the church. Members came up to us and told us they had never seen anybody more ready for the Gospel. We had some fun member meals where we met the whole Aguirre family and ate tons of tamales and met their 9 cats. 8 of us missionaries were also fed by the Blaisdells and proceeded to play football in 110 degree weather.

Also I am so sorry for not responding to all emails. I promise I read them and a love all of you!! Keep on having tons of fun and stay safe!!

Pensamiento Espirtual:  Edward Eyeston BYU talks:

"The heights by great men reached and kept
Were not attained by sudden flight,
But they, while their companions slept,
Were toiling upward in the night.
[The Ladder of St. Augustine (1858), stanza 10]

I would challenge us all to take a personal inventory of some of the small things we can work on in the coming months that will help break us from the spiritual, mental, and physical plateaus on which we might currently reside"
