Semana 35- "You Are Not Welcome in Meh Kingdom"

So sorry that I missed last week. That's the first one ever, and hopefully the last but it seems that time is just always slipping past.

Lots of fun things these past two weeks!! We went on exchanges and I got to go help this super cute couple get things ready so they can get married!! While I was on exchanges though, sister church was in Mercedes with Sister Wagner and as they were driving along the freeway. Suddenly, there was a loud honk and some lady yelled at them that their tire was gone!! They frantically pulled over and checked things out to discover that my bike wheel disappeared. We have been biking because we were super low on miles. Cue lots of sweat, water, and exhaustion. Now, we don't have to worry about biking up and over the hill and across the freeway. To top it all off, Sister Wagners bike got hit by a driver and bet her back wheel out of shape two days later. Clearly God does not want us biking. We did get a new car though!! I think we are loosing though...

We have been teaching a couple cool friends!! One of which is the sweetest lady and she has a 6 year old that hugs us every time we see her and shows off her Lilo and Stitch collections. We brought a lady who had been baptized about 5 months ago and her little daughter. It turns out that her little daughters favorite movie is also lilo and stitch. They are super cute but weren't able to come to church yet, but I know that they have the greatest desire and their house is covered in sayings about eternal families and love.

The Elders had a baptism on Sunday, which is super exciting. And a lot of our recent converts made it to church which always is amazing!! We did have one guy come to church in the middle of second hour. We didn't realize that he was there and had only met him over the phone. He had talked with previous sisters and thought that we were still them. When the elders saw Joseph they said that they were going to get us but he got mad when he realized they had switched us sisters out. He also said he wasn't down for the gospel, just for sisters... 👀. He did send us a hilarious text though all about for letting him down, how he knew he was a God, we weren't invited to his kingdom, and how disappointed he was for not keeping our promise. (No, I have no idea what promise he was talking about)

We had interviews on Wednesday with President Larreal and we all decided to coordinate out outfits with red and sunglasses. It was super fun and there were some great roleplays, teachings, and hide'n'go seek. We had lots of tech stuff to do this week and I got to make a ton if graphs and info graphics which might be my favorite thing about being on Tech Squad.

We were fed by a lot of cool members these past two weeks. And some delicious empanadas, tacos, flan chaco cake, floutas, sopas, and lots of cake because two Elders in our district had birthdays.

So sorry for not responding to all of your emails!! I promise that I read them and I love all of you! Feel free to send me updates on your life and how things have been going. Good luck to college all of you going back for the semester!! You are amazing!!

Pensamiento Espirtual:  Jeffrey R Holland - A Teacher Come from God
"For each of us to “come unto Christ,” to keep His commandments and follow His example back to the Father is surely the highest and holiest purpose of human existence. To help others do that as well—to teach, persuade, and prayerfully lead them to walk that path of redemption also—surely that must be the second most significant task in our lives."
