Semana 6- Pues, pues, pues
Una semana mas! And then I officially enter the real mission life in endless heat, oh and Spanish and scorpions. (Not sure how I feel about the scorpions). As for random things, there was a MTC laundry thief that stole one of the Hermana's clothes. It has thankfully magically reappeared a week later. Moral of the story: don't be a thief and don't ditch your laundry unattended.
One of my companions was able to go for the next 36 hours to Houston, Texas to get her visa. It has given me a taste of what freedom could be. Me? Well, I'm still here. I have been able to listen to some great devotionals and really dedicate my time to learning Spanish and to work on spiritual studying. (Individual studying is definitely one of the highlights of my week).
The title of this week comes from a random Spanish speaking Elder who slightly knows one of my companions. He decided that the best way to greet people was to creepily say this as we were walking to class. "Pues, pues, pues. Mira quien tenemos aquí." I honestly felt more fearful than I have in my entire life.
I was able to fast this Sunday and that was very spiritual to do here at MTC because I have never been in a place with so many people gathered together and with a purpose. I went to el templo otra vez!! I honestly am going to miss going to the temple weekly once I am out. I will probably be lucky to go twice a year. Chao for now!! Wishing you all the best from Provo, Utah!
