Semana 7- The Final MTC Week!
I know that my time at MTC has been crucial and really helpful to me in many ways. I have learned a lot about Spanish, the gospel, Preach my Gospel, and some crucial ways to teach people. However, I am SOOO excited to finally be leaving! I cannot wait to go out and preach to people.
This Monday I finally got my flight itinerary, and let me tell you, I was worried that it was never coming. We were supposed to get them two Fridays before our flight. Be ready and set to leave to the big campo for our missions. I feel for the mission flight coordinators but it was honestly so late! (I worried that I would be stuck here for extra long). I know, I would have been blessed but I think that I would have been found somewhere dead. The one big issue is that all of my Hermanas and all in my district except one are leaving on Thursday. Leaving me a lone Hermana who has to go to class on jueves with only 2 other people (including the teacher). What do I do with 3 people??
Our newest addition to the MTC, is that there are not just numerous patos (tiny plastic ducks) but also little tortugas (turtles). And the best part is that the tortugas glow in the dark!!!
Also after being a missionary for 6.5 weeks we were blessed on Tuesday. If you can't guess who the Tuesday Devotional speaker was. . . well it was D. Todd. Christofferson and his wife! It was so spiritual and it was honestly probably the best way to end my pre-mission life. I thought that I wouldn't be able to hear from a 12 apostle here! He gave a great talk about repentance and atonement. I was able to feel his love for us as an apostle and to be able to understand deeper just how crucial repentance is.
It is all about what we will become. Jesus Christ gave us his atonement so that we could implement the crucial power of repentance. And no matter how often or how small or big we use it, this saving power is accessible for us. Simply use it. He also taught us about the symbolism and importance of Christ bleeding from every pore in the Garden of Gethsemane because it likewise represents an olive press. Which when fresh, comes out bright red and can only come through immense pressure. Never forget just how miraculous it is that we have repentance!
I will be able to share more in a whole new place, new culture, and new language more recent than you think!! Nos vemos!!
