Semana 33- Que Te Gusta?

There has been a lot of work put into this week but it's been really cool!! Our friend Juan got baptized on Saturday. He was going to be baptized about a month ago and came to church a couple of times but disappeared. This past Sunday he showed up again and we got in contact with him and he got baptized after we asked him if he wanted to on Saturday!! The coolest part is that we didn't even find him the first time. He said church always just keeps coming to him. The first time we found him we were walking away after talking with our friends and he just pulled over in his car and jokingly asked if we were selling anything. God keeps on putting people in the right place at the right time.

We had some really sad news with a couple of people who were 100% locked into baptism and church. The mom read in the book of mormon and listened to general conference talks and bore her testimony at church a while back. The members kept on telling us they had never seen anybody more ready to be baptized but unfortunately they were anti-ed pretty hard by her family and she said she wants to rip it off like a bandaid and just never talk with us again. It felt like the worst heart break ever. I love her and her kids so much, they will forever be in my heart and prayers.

Mercedes have been good and we have been able to meet with more members and try Topa Chica Mexican style (think a mocktail). We met some cool part member families and we went to a cottage meeting. It's been really fun and our district went to a pulga (flea market) it was exciting to walk around and experience it but not to be hit on as sisters.

We had a super exiting zone conference on thursday! The best part is that all of my companions just happen to be in the same tri-zone so I got to talk with all of my past companions. We had some good trainings and teachings, and a beautiful musical number. Another super exciting thing! Every companion in our district had a baptism this weekend which was super fun!!

Pensamiento Espirtual: "Behold we count them happy which endure" by Robert D Hales
"Missionaries are not sent just to have friends and families bid them good-bye. They are called to serve an honorable mission and return home with honor. To do that, they know who they are—missionaries of the Lord’s Church. They know their objective—to find and teach those who are ready to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ and to help establish His Church. They develop patience in overcoming trials and tribulations which surely will come. They are humble enough to learn new skills and have a determination to endure to the end. No matter what a missionary sacrifices to go on a mission, he must be obedient on his mission to receive the blessings that are rightfully his."

Also, I promise I read all emails and I love hearing from you guys!! I just never seem to have enough time to respond!! Love you all, rooting for you in South Texas!
